Surely you would not fit a ferrule to a new cue using the (fridge technique) ?

why not - it is stronger than either the metal or the wood, but no in reality they get fitted earlier with 2 pack and they sanded to fit - at least my me!

Has nobody ever seen a ferrule that has cracked or split and needs to be taken off to replace it ? If super glue has been used would the removal be more difficult ?

superglue breaks with heat aswell so don't see the problem with that, the only problem i have with using super glue is i like my ferrules to be fairly snug so i have to use epoxy else it ends up gluing firm when its not tapped right down lol!

epoxy would have exactly the same result.

Thanks Stejohn , I understand now that using SP glue with heat makes it break and that temp repairs can still be achieved lol Cheers mate
