I was asked today if I found it easier to make a cue or a violin ?? My reply was : Depends on who was going to be playing It ??? Any thoughts ??

Even a simple tapered ash/maple dowel with a tip glued on and a bit of weight added for balance could potentially serve very well as a cue. Try making a nice-sounding violin as easily! My brother has a couple of old ash house cues with painted butts that play really well.Tear up that manure-fed astroturf!

Apparantly a strad violin changed hands for $20,000,000 and regularly sell for £3-5 million Not bad considering they were made 300 yrs ago with home made tools glues and varnishes !!! Well Guys , lets hope our offspring appreciate all your cue making efforts , lets hope decent cue prices continue to rise !!!
