    Hi all,

Tony get's a very good rep on here, the cues i have seen have been of a high standard/craftsmanship , i don't think people can tell you what badge to get, you should know yourself what you like better..?

It would be flush to the wood so shouldn't affect your grip at all bud, if you do go ahead with it make sure you post some photos for us cue lovers on here...

I bought a Tony Glover cue second hand a couple of weeks ago and it is a beauty, I couldn't be more pleased with it.
Even though it has slightly different specs than my old cue I am already playing to my normal standard, if not better, with it (which also owes much to the advice/coaching I have received from fellow forum members, thanks again chaps).
It is one which had previously been advertised for sale on the forum.
It has a rectangular end plate which is not noticeable when playing.
                Best Regards.
                Wes.

Been trying to get in touch with Tony since last week, possibly off sick or something as I've had no luck.

I've heard some indifferent comments regarding Glover recently, he can be a bit hit and miss with regards to the quality of cue you will get. Didn't Pottr on here recently have a cue made by him and it was very poorly made, think one of the splices was really bad and he couldn't believe it was sent to him in that condition. Might have just been unlucky but I've also heard personally someone who had a cue too and he wasn't pleased either, said the grain was rough and not very well finished.

The splice lifted\separated on pottr's cue due to the temperature in the workshop and not being abler to have the heating going all night, could really happen any cue from any maker.

still shouldn't have been sent to him in that condition though. Can you imagine the furore if that was from JP!

It happened in transit from what I recall, he picked it up put it in his case, had to collect the kids from school then when he checked it at home the splice had separated from the others.

I do agree though, if it had been a JP cue the pitchfork and torch lynch mob would have been mobilised.

I always manage to get hold of Tony no problem when I phone him on 01283 550551 during the day when he's in his workshop.
