  • New Peradon Cues

The name Peradon seems to have been around forever yet its very rare their new cues get a mention on here. Are they considered uncool or something?

Anyone own or had one of the better handspliced models? Whats the finnish and quality like?

A guy here in south africa had brought one over just 2 weeks ago. I dont remember what model it was but it was a solid cue with good grain and played well. Even splicework so all told not a bad cue at all. 8 ball specs tho. I will try to get some pics if i see him next time. But overall i wouldnt say bad. Not the best but far from worst.

The consensus around here seems to be that you can do much better for the money. I've seen lots of complaints about the finish in particular.
Oh, and that's a bad miss.

Thanks, they look great on their website but then so many cues do until you actually see them in person so to speak.

A couple of my pool team mates have recent Peradon cues (not more than 2 years) and they really rate them. I would think that they are upper-middle range cues, both ash/ebony. They look reasonable and the splicing appears even.
But to me they just are not quite right, one I think has a painted butt (have not said anything to the owner) and it also has a slightly (just slightly) out of line ferrule, which I noted when I did a new tip.
The other cue has some rough patches on the shaft and I think the butt is suspect as well, this ferrule is fine.
Anyway, the owners like them and that is all that matters

Yeah they do seem a bit mass produced. Was watching a Peradon King on ebay but think I'll give it a miss.
