  • Hawkins' cue

What has happened to it? Seems like it's been repaired quite a bit.

The grain looks funny on it just about the ebony splices, not really noticed much in the way of damage.

Aye it looks like it might have been repaired in this area, or maybe its just blemishes in the wood as it looks to have a very unusual grain pattern. Does anyone know who made his cue?

Yes supposedly it is a JP cue but I think I noticed something about the shaft just under his chin seems either featured grain or to me it looked like something like clear tape

Is it ash or maple? I originally thought ash but seeing it from different angles it seems to look like a maple with a slight grain to it.

Definitely an odd looking shaft on it, as said it looks damaged but could just be how the shaft is.

Pretty sure its ash to me. Not sure whether this cue has had a new butt as I seem to recall he had this shaft with a different looking butt about 2 or 3 seasons ago. Could be wrong though.
