Of course it is. If it's any consolation mate i bought a 1 pice maple cue from Ritchy last year i think it was...cue was faultless to look at but as i have played with ash for the last 20 odd years then the shaft was just way to stiff for me. Back playing with ash again and loving it.

I rest my case it was to stiff so you did not play as well with it as a less stiff ash cue.

Rich was (and still is) a great player. Very knowledgable on the dynamics of the balls and idiosyncrasies of the game and conditions. I personally think he would be well placed to tell what is and isn't a good cue, probably more so than most people I know.
(Hey Richy "what is there not to like about it!" lol)

cue looks amazing i had one it was an ok cue but comperd to my trevor white mast cue its not as well made and not as good but that could be becouse i had a bad one or something and also trevor whites cues are prob the best cues money can buy at the moment i am very lucky to own an old mast cue thats 14 years old and its one of the best ones i have seen but mac cues are up and coming and i think he could be very good in 5 years time and for the money they are very good and they will go up in price in time so a good investment if you dont get on with it and have the money for a new cue. going back to an old coment if you picked a trever white a rileys and dunns cue all the same spec i will garenty the tw cue will play better so its not all the player it is also the cue
