13 oz cue

Hi, I have recently received a cue as a gift and it weighs only 13 ounces.
Is this too light for a begginer? I have only been going for around a month. Furthermore, it is a 3 piece cue, is this bad?
The cue and case was from sports direct and is called the 'pro one snooker set.' It costs around £60 but it was halfprice.
