How to remove the veneer wood color from snooker cue?

Stated as above, anyway I'm using plain black butt with 4 front face in yellow veneer.

unless it is a cheap cue with a painted/transfer butt, the veneer wood is incorported as part of the construction of the butt and cannot just be wiped away.
whether you can remove all finish and then stain the veneer? - results may not be good, ?
it may mean that you send the butt to a cue maker and get a new butt made or ebony splices added.

Thank you guys for the replying, I'm using old mastercue full piece, probutt series, I bought from my mate at a very good price as he dun like full piece cue, too troublesome, I only just dun like the 4 yellow veneers color on the black ebony, lol...

Bit crude but if you remove any wax from the butt and mask up either side of the yellow veneers you could try a black permanant marker pen or other colour.

I'd use indian ink instead but thats prob how I would go about it as well
