  • new MAC CUE

Just thought I'd share some pictures of a cue I've just done.
Wood is called black palmira and its first time I've used it.
It's a stunning wood but quite difficult to work with as its a grass type

Black palmira is a lovely wood. Never heard of it. Nice cue!
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
    I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

I think Phoenix cues use a lot of this wood, they called it palm wood.

Thats gorgeous and very similar to my woods cue. Mine was described as being Coconut Palm Wood.

Mm could be another name for it perhaps.
My supplier told me that's the name of it and when you google it, this is same wood.

There can be many different names for wood mate like ovankol is also known as Amazaque so you can easily lose track.

palm wood is similar but not the same style of pattern if you look it up. they also sometimes change the names to avoid import export restrictions on exotics!

I have that exact cue in the pic with the black badge. As its a lacquered cue I think it enhances the grain better but its certainly a very nice wood.
