My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Sorry for late reply but you were correct, I talked to the company (expert!) twice he did not disclose that information but talked as if an authority on my cue, however he did not know that there was a Newcstle Ye Olde Ash cue depite there are pics. on the net. I just thought 'more heat than light here' Thanks for squaring the circle.

Did you send the pics to Gordon (the Cue Collector)?
I am sure he can tell you more than this company 'expert'.My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.

It has definately never been tampered with, the badge thing never happend, it has been in the family from the day it was bought and no one has taken an interest in it until now. The only new fact that has come to light is that he was 19 when he bought it that would mean 1924 or 25.

Do you know where he bought it? Or for how much? I doubt it but you never know . . .

95% certain it was in Newcastle Upon Tyne, it would be direct from Boroughs and Watts. I have been told that he was 19 when he bought it and he was born in 1905. No idea on how much he paid, a receipt may turn up but I very much doubt it.
Yes I was being ironic when I called the Sutton's B&W guy an 'expert' I think he said that his name was Malcome Johns
