The rough sanding is now out the way, put wipe of oil over to show the expected colour once all is finished.
I originally thought there was too much going on from your earier pictures, but its turned out lovely, try cedar oil on the butt, used it on my purple heart and it really brought the colour out.
That is a gorgeous bit of wood, what's the plan for it?
Not 100% sure yet, Its the perfect length for secondary splices. I have a few shafts that I started to size down last weekend, having left them since last summer. Hoping to crack on with them over the next few months.
Do you need any product testers?
I'm up for it and will give you some great feedback as I'm from a product design / development.

Something a little bit different, won't be to everyone taste. Hickory shaft, and the butt is made up of rosewood, black palmira, spalted curly maple and thuya burr. Pool spec cue as hickory is quite stiff and a round butt.
