    Hi Andy,

So your saying that cue above was 100% made by you from a selected piece of ash from start to finish that you chose..?..

If you had answered a simple question then he wouldn't have planed it! Even after him planing 1 splice off to show everyone how it was made, are you claiming it is not a Thai cue? If yes then why is it spliced differently to your other older cues? Also why couldn't you answer a simple question about its construction if you made it from start to finish? And why was crispian right in guessing what would be underneath the front splice? (Puddle of ebony)

I take my hat off to Crispian for having the courage to come on here and expose dodgy practice , its quite sad that honest buyers have been mislead into believing their paying for something made from start to finish by people only to find out the opposite , and who knows how much input certain cue makers have put into their product .

If i had nothing to hide i would vigorously defend my corner and product but some choose to keek quite on the matter .

How do you know it was a guess, he could have already planed it! And as to why it's different, try reading a bit of Darwin!

What has Darwin got to do with it? The way it has been spliced is the same as the Thai cues so it makes everyone suspect its a Thai cue especially considering andys earlier cues were not spliced this way!

Yep it looks like an extended cue to me, so either its an extended UK cue or another Thai cue convert. In my opinion we now have proof of andy, Jason and Raymond doing this practice. Just need proof from the big two but that would be a lot more expensive to do as there cues sell for really big money

Yeh mate, look at the ash in between the 2 ebony splices, looks like it has been extended to me. Very similar look to when Dave coutts had extended my cue

Personally ithink the whole thing stinks and I feel sorry for andy and all the other cuemakers out there being attacked by crispian and now numerous other people on here. Andy has came on here said that the cue is 100percent handmade and now because of some guy from wales nobody even takes his word for it! Pretty sad state of affairs I think, and whats even worse is that crispian is actually getting his hands on other makers cues and stripping them down! No wonder Andy is annoyed!

Yh the shaft has definitely been extended. I'm confused with what Neil has said, 'within the ebony splice'

I thought a one piece cue was made out of one piece of ash or maple . Didn't know this was how some were constructed .

                            Doesn't effect playability though .

Not being a cue maker . I find the construction of cues very interesting . Wish i was that talented .

In Jason's case it was only 8 Thai cues, plus he doesn't charge enough for his cues anyway IMO.
