  • Help with my Trevor White Cue wood selection

    Hi

My cue is in the stages of being built so I need to choose a wood for the 4 main splices.
The cue I have at the moment is TW with a Kingswood 4-spliced butt which is a little dark so I'm looking for pics of Trevor White cues to help me decide.
The wood needs to be lighter than the kingswood and I'm having 3 veneers white then black then white
Is there a link which shows most of his work or I'd be happy if people could send a pic of their TW cue
    Many thanks
    Rob

You may have to trawl through the 'Post pictures of your cue thread ' . That will give you some ideas .

have a go on the john parris website and use his cue builder its very good for helping you pick and has a good selection of wood on it.

I know Trevor has some really nice black & white ebony at the moment, that would look good.

Thanks all. I have looked at the JP web site but TW doesn't do the same wood and some have different names.
Even so at least he could match the colour from the JP site............if he can bring himself to go on it

                      Rob, this confuses me.

How do you know I do not have the timber you have seen on Parris's website.?.....you have not asked me any questions on it.

What wood is it that you're referring to.?

No, I'm not interested in looking at his website. That would be for you to do, and then to instruct me what you would like used.

                        Trevor,
You are contacted by so many people I don't expect you to remember all the questions asked of you.
I had my last cue from you about 2.5 years ago and i asked for Palisander and one other (from the JP web site) and you replied you dont use them and suggested a different wood. Maybe this is no longer the case and you can source all woods now.
                        Apologies for suggesting otherwise

Can you post a picture of your cue with the dark Kingwood?
