I have an interesting cue made by Trevor White that is identical to the early Parris Elite cues right down to the red glue visible on the splice tips.
Not sure if Trevor made many of these cues but this is the only one that I've seen

The glueline is red / brown because of the chemicals in the product. These glues tend to cause the reddish staining you see on many Parris cues. I tried them for some time but stopped due to the ugly red bleeding that is typical of these phenol based systems. Great bond strength but hideous visible gluelines.
As posted above, this glue ruins the appearance of otherwise bright coloured thin veneers.
