Thanks for all the kind comments chaps, very much appreciated ... here's a few shots of my latest cue approaching completion, it's a customer order hence the mother of pearl inlay above my badge.

Ash shaft, but you already knew that
The butt is a harder one to guess, it's South American Iron Wood reclaimed from an old mill floor in Downpatrick, County Down +200 years old, very hard, hardest wood I've ever hand planed, felt like I was planning glass but beautiful deep brown colour once oiled up, it was worth the effort although my hand planes might say otherwise could they talk!
