  • Joint Position on a snooker cue?

    Hello,

I wanted to ask what people's experiences are in terms of the joint position on there cues. I have a range of Parris cues all with the joint located in the standard position at 16 inches from the butt.

I'm having a cue made up with the joint at 14 inches from the butt. As this will give the cue an evenly balanced cue weighted at 18.5 oz.

Does anyone own different cues with the joint in different places and if so what is your experience of playing with these? I know all cues are different and play differently regardless of the joint position but does having the joint in a 14 inch position give you a different playing characteristic as opposed to the joint being at 16 inches?

No, there are too many other factors at play.

Is it better to have a one-piece cue then?
