  • Cyanoacrylate (CA) finish.

Anyone can comment on these type of finishes and whether if they are applicable to cues?

I notice CA finish is common for fountain pens or custom wood pens and other wood works. But it seems to be uncommon for cuemakers.

I'd like to know the pros and cons about this finish, care and perhaps personal experiences?
    Thanks in advance!!!

I've used it for finishing cue butts and its very common for American cue makers. They've been using it on cues for years.
You can get a very highly polished and smooth finish.
Very good for sealing the grain, filling cracks and bents. Good for hardening up soft burls.
Care must be taken with the odour and dust, but that applies to glue and wood dust in general.
Not the cheapest finish to apply.
