  • joe davis 147 cue with black badge

Please could some one tell me roughly how much money they think the cue would be worth . I have been told I can buy it for 160 pound but have no idea what's it is worth . It's is in mint condition but I have no pictures sorry . Thank you for any response.

If it is a JD 147 , white badge , black writing , machine spliced then its worth less than £100 . Hand spliced maybe worth £120 - £140 .Best person to ask is Chris Lloyd , he runs a Jo Davis website and you can e-mail him.You will need more details i.e. lgth, weight, tip size , ash or maple , machine or hand spliced.Hope this helps and please dont spend too much on a cue if you are unsure.

I have not seen a black badged Tombstone 147 , I have seen a black badged Tombstone 146 and that is machine spliced. If a tombstone badge 147 exists then maybe its worth £160 + , I dont know thats why I suggested he contact Chris.

          I am not sure there is a JD 147 tombstone . . .
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
          I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Totally agree . Tombstone in 105,114,132,135,138 & 146 . My suspicion is that this cue is a machine spliced 147 , birds eye front splice ,Value wise it is what it is , depending on condition and spec.

This sounds as though its been altered to a two piece I have just bought a one piece JD 146 with the red plate for £30 so it so I would be looking to pay no more than £60 and that would have to be a very good one.
