Cues for professionals

As per you other thread about getting four splices added so you can have a large diameter butt, have you thought about having a thick maple veneer with four ebony front splices [that is if your current cue is ebony butt]

To be honest i haven't but sounds like it would be a nice design, yes my current cue is ebony with thin maple veneer and splice of Asian snake-wood, seems a shame having to ruin the snake-wood...
