  • Cue Valuation Needed

Need a valuation of a cue for a mate of mine .

The Cue is a John Parris Paragon . It is 26 years old and was the 1st playing cue used by the former professional Bradley Jones . He still owns the cue .

Rosewood butt . No specs [ or pics ] but think they would be pretty standard . Just after a rough valuation .

    Cheers
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

For a cue of that age, I'd be fairly surprised if JP didn't build it himself. Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic, but I would expect a paragon of that age, to crack the best part of a grand at least, given the specs, condition and splicing, regardless of who owns/owned it.

In comparison, I'd personally value a modern paragon to make anything between £450 - £700 btw, again, depending on condition, specs and design.

Would tend to agree with you that JP made it . Also has a little bit of history attached to it , as he used it in the 1997 World Championships .

i would get between 700-900 for it if it is in mint order. but obviously trade value would be more like 600-800
