Is there ANY chance of saving this cue?

Good old Parcelfiorce - look what they did to a cue that I just bought........

Is there any chance of saving it, or is it beyond repair?

It's a Joe Davis 600 break cue if anyone's interested. I have been re-imbursed for it but i'd much rather have the cue of course

Wow I wonder how they managed that? Good you got your money back and maybe try MW and see if he could do anything with it but it might cost more than it is worth.

cut the butt, as a 3/4, make a new shaft for it, you can save the money for the butt, and take the badge off, sell it, you can get some money back, if the courrier pay you the full price, you will have no lost, but if you repair the cue, a carpenter can help you but not a cue maker, hahahaha

It's possible it could be saved. It would require being glued and clamped back together and refinished but you couldn't say for sure it would play the same.

I have to say that i'm inclined to agree with perpetualboredom in thinking that any repair would probably cost more than the cue is actually worth, so selling off bits of it wouldn't be a bad idea..............

I'd do it for nothing, the few times iv done it the cue played not much different, in one case it played better.

Its a waste of time glueing them back, the repair man might be able to glue them back but the one playing with the cue will have psychological effect, mentally it doesn't work.

considering that the cue was a new-purchase and the buyer had no previous experience of playing with it, there could be less of a negative effect :shrug-shoulders: ?
