Anyway to reduce a cue's weight?

Anyway to reduce the weight of 1 piece cue from 19oz to 17.5oz? I mean, do it at home and without sending it to a cue maker to do it.

There are no cue maker available around me, so I need some helps from expert here.

Best to post it somewhere and get it done properly. You would need to drill into butt and remove any existing weight, and then fill with a lighter wood maybe to avoid hollow sound ?
Just a guess really, and cue will play totally different!
