Hi can someone tell me why Parris cues with the red glue are sought after?

Just as jrc has said and from what I have seen, JP stopped using the red glue around early/mid 2000s. So he definetly had a team by that time.
Question is: when did JP start having a team and when did he stop making cues himself?

I have some old Parris Red Glue, held and used by John himself, the same glue was used on Ronnie's JPU also, only looking for £300 for the pot, no offers! thanks
