HI i would never order a cue if it took that long and by the time you get and you do not like the
cue . i would rather go to a person that sells cues i would try it on the spot and if i like it i would
          purchase the cue

Totally agree . . . I want Santa to bring me a TW . . . if the elves bring me a JP Ultimate I won't be nearly as happy.
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
              I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Just sent Parris an email about re weighting a cue and it says the office is closed until the 10th of March. What's going on? have they shut up shop or what !!

He's probably gone on holiday but I doubt all the staff will have gone too. Its just that between him and his wife, they are the only two who deal with e-mail enquiries and phone calls, the rest of his staff are working behind the shop front making the cues and repairs etc. Not ideal but there you go, the beauty of owning your own business means you can do exactly what you like.

To be fair employees are also allowed to go on holidays with their wife.

I guessed that might be the case but thought another staff member might have covered it. Didn't realise he still ran it as a husband and wife business.

Well have a good holiday John wherever you are.

I've been waiting since Dec 2011 for my 1 piece Ultimate.... Keep getting fobbed off by John and he always uses the same excuse which is "not enough good wood"..... Surley it shouldn't take 28 months??

I'm getting extremely annoyed now, John's customer service is terrible IMO.....

Does sound a pretty lame excuse to be fair. I mentioned a while back that in his business its up to him to scour the world looking for good enough wood. I bet he just uses one local supplier and if the quality isn't good enough he just thinks oh well, lets see what they have in next month or next year etc.

If I was in such a hurry or didn't feel I could wait for mine I'd just ask for my deposit back. At the end of the day there is no shortage of options for good quality playing cues, especially from the Thai cue makers who right now are probably the best in the world in terms of quality, great looking shafts and affordable too.

Funny that the Thai cuemakers seem to have an endless supply of quality timber, maybe an idea to get the wood directly from Asia?
