Yes he now has orders from other parts of the world but to call him an international business is pushing it a bit. A very successful business would be operating on a far bigger scale and would be able to meet the demand of a few hundred custom cue orders and deliver well within a good timeframe.
As for paying a premium why would I? My order is placed and my deposit paid for, my frustration is that due to not being able to meet with demand JP keeps pushing back the timescale.
Take this example if you will. If you were to get the builders in and have an extension built on your property, how would you like it if you agreed a timeframe, a price and put down your deposit only for them then to push it back twice and double the original agreed time? You'd be willing to accept this I take it due to the fact they had taken on other jobs which then put yours back, hmmmm I don't think so some how. I'd like to know in your world why is it if someone in another industry does that are they to be commended for this?
Please I'd love to here what more BS you have to say on the matter.

Your wait time will be........ 24 months minimum, guaranteed.
Just do what I did and just order interim cues to help pass the time, it works." Cues are like girlfriends, once they become an EX I don't want them hanging around ".

Important to stress I have nothing against the fella and have owned a few great Parris cues -
So this might seem a daft question but seeing as John Parris does not actually make any cues anymore and as he is so popular now and his order book so full why does he not just get more wood and take on more staff?
Surely he is missing out on some serious wongaLast edited by Byrom; 15 December 2013, 11:03 AM.

What is the Production time for an ultimate? i.e. if there was 0 days waiting time and your cue got started today, how long does it take? I would assume that they let the wood settle for a while between certain stages. Does any one know?
Also shouldn't supply and demand determine the price? If fedia can bump up his ebay prices because of the waiting time why doesn't John increase his prices? Even if it was just for Ultimates. Don't you think this would cut demand and therefore waiting times?

If Aston Martin, Ferrari or Bentley were to to increase their prices by 20k it would not stop people buying them, the good thing about JP is that he is not a mercenary commercialist, not so far that is." Cues are like girlfriends, once they become an EX I don't want them hanging around ".

People who would buy a Aston Martin, Ferrari or Bentley even if they increase their prices by 20k do so because money isn't the question for them. I don't think they are saving up to buy one.
If John put his Ultimates up by £400.00 I think it would make some people think twice about ordering one. If he doubled his prices I think some people would't order one at all. I'm just saying it's probably the easiest way for him to decrease waiting times.
EDIT: I think the easiest way to decrease waiting time would be increase production. More Staff, quicker production, higher turnover, but as stated earlier this would lead to a loss in quality and other issues.....
Stop taking orders isn't solving the problem, because as soon as he starts taking orders again the same people are still there waiting to put an order in. So he hasn't solved the problem, just postponed it, if not made it worse because now there's a big rush for orders instead a constant growing stream.
