This Hunt & O'Byrne cue butt has been kicking around amongst my cues and packaging for a fair few weeks now and I have decided that I am not going to be having a shaft made for this despite actually going through all the hard part of sourcing a cue to give up the original female spiroloc joint.

I will not sell to any members here for the following reason....

ADR has confirmed one of my reservations about this being the work of a well renowned replica maker. It wasnt listed as such when I bought it here and when I received it I was surprised it was such a very clean example, in particular the badge with its lovely badge screws all straight.

I have amended the listing a little now and will do some thinking and see what happens.

Why did it end early ?

It sold for £80 which is the same price that I paid for it on here.

The reason it finished early was once Andrew had confirmed that it was a replica I had some thinking to do about how to sell this honestly without passing this item on to an unscrupulous buyer who would pass it on as genuine. I found a buyer who was happy to make a well informed decision about buying this to add to their collection with the promise that if they ever did sell it on to let the forum know that it was the same cue.

This is the best possible outcome in my opinion
