A would like to no apart from a expert telling the diffrence on the cue wat would be the worse thing bout geting a replica cue ? Would it bee the poor quality of wood. ? Ur opinions please ?:snooker:

Which cues are you talking about ???
If you mean a fake cue, ie a cue badged as a Parris, but isn't, then yes possibly inferior wood etc, but some are actually quite good lol
If you mean replica cues, as in my replica Burwat Champion, then that is a whole different ball game, replica cues are better than the originals, ie you can play with a replica cue, whereas often old cues are too whippy for modern play

So you need to narrow your question down a bit and give a link to a particular cue you have in mind !!

You just need to be clear on one thing tho, replica cues are high quality cues, totally different to fake cues which could be firewood

I think you need to show us a particular cue, as some are really good, but in general if you know/suspect the cue is fake don't buy it !!

Do you mean cheap cues Stevie as again these are different to fakes and replicas, these can be a good deal for the money, but can use inferior wood to the top end cue makers, as far as I know, but they can also be very good indeed as the prices are low because of low labour costs etc etc.
Replicas are exactly that modern day copies of old style cues, but there is no hidden agenda here and are sold as exactly what they are.
Fakes on the other hand are cues that pretend to be what they are not, so as JRC said average cue badged as a Parris, and attempted to be sold as one for Parris money(or badged as anything it is not) this is a fake and different from the first two above, so basically the first two you get what you pay for, a fake you don't.

Yeah i think your getting confused, which cues have you seen on line which you think are fakes ?? throw a name at us or an item number on ebay

Cannot find anything, but these are probably just cheap cues, not fake cues ????

Some of the cues on eBay especially the cheaper ones can sometimes be a painted butt section to make them look like ebony...

I actually bought a Fake Parris cue before I really knew anything about cues. It was not overly expensive and at the time I didn't even know who parries was. But it turned out to be a very nice playing cue. Good cue, nice case for around $250 AUD.

Was it a red glue fake or just a normal fake?
