  • Old vs New Snooker cue for £60

Would I be better off getting a good condition used 80's Lewis & Wilson, 80's Powerglide, 70's Riley.

Or are the newer budget cues made by Cue Craft, Woods, Brittania, Peardon etc better.

    Thanks

Good question. Would you get one of the newer ones for £60? Initial thoughts are that you'd get more for your money by buying an older second hand cue.

I'd agree with bigmeek used would be my choice as in theory it'll be better quality... though if you're just a beginner there's no harm in those cheap Chinese kits on ebay like Robin Scott/Ying Yiang...

I've got a Robin Scott and it's a very nice cue and cost me £40. You can buy them even cheaper now.

£35 for a cue of this quality is outstanding.

There's a fella on ebay selling1 piece machine spliced, oil finished thai O'min cues for £30 delivered, thats what i'd go for right now in that budget, you won't lose much when you choose to upgrade either.

Even for a fake that's really good value, if only they were longer I'd have certainly taken one...
