  • Please help identify this hand spliced, possibly Churston & Craig? cue!

Would really appreciate any info on this cue and it's potential value!

    pictures below

Think the maker's name looks like churston and craig? might be wrong about the craig but definitely churston.

Nice handspliced cue, has a ferrel but looks very old, can see from the bottom that it is one piece of ash, with four maybe ebony splices. Also very straight!

    Thanks guys

The is an example on the http://www.snookerheritage.co.uk/the...ue-collection/ about a third the way down.
if you Find "The Royal and Prince of Wales Warrants celebrated on another cue butt." this is the same as your cue.

Thurston cues were granted a Royal warant in 1907 & 1911 so your cue dates after that , but it is a Thurston.

I played pool wth one of these for a couple of years. Nice cue. If you look closely you'll see they've stamped and I filled a bit of timber and spliced it on to the cue. Value not a great deal. If you can play with it, keep it.

Thanks for the help guys, can't believe i didn't recognise the thurstons, i was convinced it read churstons for some reason, feel a bit silly now! Does anyone have any idea of a value? It's not my cue, it belongs to a member of the golf club i work at, the owner has long since passed away and we have no contact info for any of his relatives or friends. We were going to try to sell the cue and donate anything it went for to the captains charity. I said i could find some info about it on here and sure enough the forum came up trumps once again! Thanks again guys!
