Pottr, ever thought of giving the Thai makers the same chance of making you a cue.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

If you read my cue contest thread, I was in the search of a cue that felt like it belonged to me.

I already have that now. I will not be ordering any more cues for myself, hopefully forever.

Absolutely Neil, they are really good. But that's my point. A player goes to Green Baize, he gets a cup of coffee, and he may even try befor buy the cue.
And if someone wants necessarily buy from a UK cue maker,,, Mike Wooldridge or Andy Travis. There are several. I've never heard in my life that somone should be wait 30 months for a cue from Mike Wooldridge.

Nothing. If you want a Thai cue, get one. If you want to wait ages for a jpu, do it. It's a free world.

Every cue is different, the jpu's have far less loss in value.

I ordered my Ultimate 1 Piece cue back in December 2011 and I'm still waiting!!
I have emailed Parris many times and have spoken to John a number of times too. However, I'm still being told the same old story about lack of quality Ultimate shafts...
I was told though that my cue should be available around summer this year but I better not hold my breath as the order is still showing as received in my members section on his website!
TBH - I'm getting a little annoyed with the fact I have waited so long.... I have in the mean time ordered another cue from Jason Owen so i'll see what that is like as i'll have that by June - only 6 months wait!!

Well if you have been told that then obviously my order placed sep 12 is going to be at the earliest around a year from now.

Personally I think John needs to consider getting in touch with some of the Thai cue makers who seem to be able to churn out ultimate quality shafts for fun.

The problem is, You need a lot of luck that the cue that you get has the same playblty as the cue that you've played with for the last 2 years (expected time). A friend of mine had to wait two years for an ultimate. No problemo!! He bought a GBL to play with until his cue is ready. (Because he will not sit at home and not playing snooker for two years!!). So after two years, when the cue was finished, he had a big problem. Because he was used to that GBL cue. And the ultimate did'nt suit his game.because he had'nt the same playblty as GBL one. And I'm not saying the cue played bad though. Only, did'nt suit his game. Anyway, he sold the cue. and that is good news because the jp cues have far less loss in value. so if you do'nt like it , you can always sell it. Maybe a little cheaper but ....
