How many Tournaments has Ding won ?.......don't think he uses a Parris . I am sure there are a few others that don't use Parris .

Top of my head....Dominic Dale won that silly tournament...he didn't use a Parris .

Would be quite interesting to see the total at the end of the year . Reckon it will be a bit closer than you think , even if you are right [ And i think you probably are ] and Parris cues do win the majority .

You also really need to try different cues before you make such an assured statement . I had cues from the Majority of top makers , and yes Parris are great cues but i'm not sure the finish [ Smoothness ] is as good as say Trevor White or Robert Osborne .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

Butt if u buy a parris, u will make the most of your ability, its probably where ive gone wrong!! as ive said, this argument will go on, but parris will have the most pro tournament wins this season, make of that what you will.
In this statement what I read is that you know absolutely nothing about cues at all. To say after trying one or two parris cues that buying a parris cue will make the most of your ability is total drivel. That is like driving my Audi and assuming that an Audi A1 diesel will be just as good! EVERY cue is different regardless of maker, it is an even more extreme example than the last one, if you buy 10 parris cues they will all be different!

cueboy777, may I ask you something? Do you think the cue, for a pro ( Ronni or...), is made in the same way as other JP cues?
Did you know that every pro get offered above 15 JP cues to try and ultimately choose one???
Some of JP cues are excellent, and some are not.
As ADR and Neil and .... said that applies to every cue maker.

Good point Ramon ........I know that Robert Osborne made at least 4 cues for Ronnie O'Sullivan and he chose one . Used them all , all built to same specs .

As has been said I think for a lot of pros, they are based in or around London so it is pretty easy to visit the Parris shop, talk to him and commission a cue or in Judd Trumps case, pick one out the rack.

I'm sure the likes of Maqiure, Ding, Higgins, etc are not thinking to themselves "I'm not making the most of my ability as I don't play with a Parris"!

I can tell you one thing for sure Neil, if J Parris asks me: ((( Romon, I will make 8 ultimate cues and that I make myself, not my staff. You can play with them and choose one.)))).!!!!
I am willing to pay a minimum of 1500 GBP for that cue.
                    But that's just me.

haha, Thanks Andrew, I'm sure he's much better than Parris ultimate (my opinion). I did'nt knew that. I have sent Mike already an email for a new cue. btw, you did help last week my brother (with selling his cue). thanks for that. He said he has already sent the cue. I heard good stories about you from him. He spoke with Stu last month for a new Maximus ultimate. I believe Stu working on it !!!! I need next month. a few new things . I'll pm you than. I hope you have time for us. Anyway, thanks again.

The cue Maguire is using is that one from green baize, seems to have a triple spliced butt ebony, then amboyna or thuya burr with more ebony on top.

                            http://www.greenbaize.com/wp-content...7/DSCF4024.jpg

looks like the one third from the right only in maple.

I believe Maquire's cue is a "C8" which is not available anymore I think, but as you say very similar to that cue in the picture.
                              Up the TSF! :snooker:
