  • Refurb an old cue

    Hello BTW.

I bought an old cue probably dated around 1920's that's a guess. It's a lovely cue to play with but it's full of scratches which you would sometimes expect at this age,but to get it looking quite good what and how do I go about it, please.is it about applying wax. Any advice would be good.

    Refurb an old cue

get some pictures up so we see the cue. if it is a "good one" it may be detrimental to its value to get it refurbished.
but if it not a valuable cue then a refurb would be good.
recently I got a friends late father's cue refurbished and it is great.
I will try to find the thread.
look for the thread "Old Cue Refurb" in the Cues Forum.
on the phone app so can't paste url

Are you saying if the cue is an old one it's best to keep it in it's original condition?

        not necessarily.
If it is a valuable cue, a photo will help, or is there a badge or stamp on it? then a refurb could reduce its value.
If it is not a valuable cue, a refurb would certainly be a nice idea to bring it back to a nice playing cue.
You say it plays well for you so this may be the way to go forward.
Did you see the other thread?
