No idea about the history of this cue, it's hard to make a view without seeing it, holding it and even removing the badges if there's a doubt.

I will say don't get too caught up with what Andy wrote in articles 15 years ago.. If you speak to him he'll openly tell you that it was only his view at the time, several of the articles need updating badly - particularly the prices quoted which are often a mile out.

Andy doesn't even mention this cue in plain handspliced ebony (I don't think).. and I was contacted by a chap not that long ago who had 4-5 of them, so that's not exactly a rare cue! This is peradon made so basically any badge could end up on any cue, oddities don't worry me too much.

Thankyou for the link.Very interesting video.I have a plain ebony butt,hand-spliced Willie Smith Career Record cue but it has an ash shaft as opposed to the hornbeam mentioned in the video.
