then its impossible to tell if its a h&o and I would be pretty confident saying it isn't why would a top cue maker like h&o make unbadged cues ??? they didn't. don't think its about making the cue complete its about making a cue worth a grand.

      thanks for the info

      just to check:
Aeon made the Blue Plate cues for H&Ob, joints as required (Spiro?)
Mike Reece did the joints for all the other cues (the long spindle and the stubby versions?)

      right?
did Mike Reece work at Aeon or somewhere else?

Mick Rees worked from his house and fitted joints to H & O and the early Osborne cues .

He lives in the next road from me and remember playing against him 20 years ago in our league . Still does repairs and tips for a few of the lads' .

Not heard of an unbadged H&Ob cue, anyone?
Have you thought that it could be an unbadged Aeon cue, as they did all the joints for H&Ob.
John Parrot became world Champion with his unbadged Hunt & O'Byrne cue. Very special piece, 11mm tip and about 20oz. Had the pleasure to take a close look at Humo Masters 1992 courtesy of John. Never heard of another one though ... as far as I know only the green plates with the pyramid screw came from Garrison/Aeon. Why not ask Will or Rob Osborne, they know for sure.

do you know how long JP had the cue at that time?
must be a very early cue.

wether replicas are of good quality or not they are still FAKE COPIES that shouldn't have any value compared to an original cue, there is a eureka cue replica on ebay for 395 now i would not give the seller 100 pound for it

dont know mate, but it had the typical black plate joint. nah hunt & o'byrne had only red plates (machine spiced with a thinnish joint) green plates (Hand sliced with that garrison pyramid joint) and black plates (with that typical short n thick joint). blue plates were invented by rob osborne when hunt & o'byrne was long gone, i dont think there ever were any blue plates in the hunt & o'byrne area.
