ADR147 Tips- Can Darken Sides??

Just fitted my first ADR147 tip. Easy to fit and shape.

The sides of the tip are a light tan colour. How can I darken it? Shoe polish, etc.? Thanks.

I just prefer to have the tip sides on the darker side as opposed to being very light in colour. Maybe it's just me.

Are there any other members out there that feel the same?

Wayne, I do this as well, just for aesthetics. Bit like polishing car tyres I suppose! I just use a felt tip pen, doesn't damage tip in any way. Bit daft I know, but looks better in my opinion.

Do you burnish the tip? After burnishing you could use a permanent marker, but it'd probably wear off with the chalk over time...

christ, i wouldnt let a marker pen or anything other than chalk / file /sandpaper near my tip for messing with it after fitting / burnishing is done (by trusty bar staff at the snooker club)

Best tip around at the moment, but we are a fickle bunch and reserve the right to jump back to the supertip camp at any time!
