I'll be the devil's advocate then.. had one ages, used to think they were good, but have come to the conclusion the grit in the end is way too course and will muller your tip in no time, and I don't even think it produces a good shape. Back to fine paper and a file for me.

Great, and I can watch that nice lady give a fine demonstration on errrr, what's that again? Lol...

But yeah, it's a nice tool to have in your case. I mostly use it to perforate and roughen up the tip, not so much shaping it.

I know this might defeat the object of the tool but could you not mod it so it has a lower grade grit of paper in it?

They aren't meant to shape snooker sized tips, they shape 13mm tips well which is what they're supposed to do! Use the internal pic and scuffing end lightly and don't bother with the shaping end at all unless you're shaping American pool cue tips

Yep, they're clearly for American cues.
If someone (ADR147?) was to ask the manufacturers to re-model a version with a finer grit and re-shape for 9-10mm they'd be ideal for snooker and UK pool.

Never seen one but are the Peradon Tip Mate not more designed for snooker?

Yes a have one and also think it would destroy your tip but like jrc said a use it for the spike instead

If you're only using the spike, then you can get one for half the price of the bowtie... not that you're all slaves to a pretty design.
