Cheers mate - No.4 for me.......and the last!

He has two older brothers that are ahead of him for a handmade cue so he will have to put up with their cast offs for a few years to come. Tough being the youngest

Have you seen John Parris Ultimate's at over £800, their splices are not much better mate, (personally it shows to me it is handmade not by some machine) not many makers can make you a cue to your spec any cheaper, i seriously doubt the cue was bent, but even if it had moved, it's a 2 minute £10 fix, no big issue (in my opinion) the butt diameter thing i am having trouble with, you say 27mm, Jim has a pic saying 29mm, ??? someone is lying !!

        • I kind of get the point about 10 could have been spent on nappies, i don't think he meant he was scraping through but merely saying that 10 pound wasted could have been put to better use, anyway's all of this should have been done between the two of you, all this has done has caused conflict, live and let live there are by far more important things/activities that could best utilise our time after all it is mothers day

                      • Brian, as you're a joiner you'll have all the tools and equipment needed to make a cue yourself. Give it a try then you'll appreciate what you're talking about. All you have to do is whittle a length of 2x2 in to a tapered shaft and glue a few pieces of wood on the end...

I think either Jim needs to stop smoking cigars or clean the camera lens lol

and come to realise that it actually isn't a cheap hobby at all. Check out the prices of ebony, tulip wood, and other exotics. You could certainly buy more than a tin of milk for your nipper with the outlay you'd have to make

                              • After reading all of this thread I would buy a cue from Jim but wouldn't deal with Brian on anything.

This is my personal opinion of the situation.
