Christ that's expensive! I've got a few rolls of micromesh ranging from 80 to 1200MX which I "borrowed" from a previous job... Great stuff. Excellent for cues but really handy for polishing anything wooden, metal or plastic in the garage or round the house. When used on wood it lasts for bloody ages, doesn't lose it's grit like sandpaper or emery cloth.

Yep and if you have a roll you can use a long thin length to high speed polish the cue if you grip the shaft in a vice. The finer stuff generates a lot of heat used this way, helping oil or wax to penetrate. Like any other technique, if you put the work in you reap the rewards. I've polished deep scratches out of glass watch faces with micromesh before and left the glass looking as good as new. Brilliant stuff, can't sing its praises enough!

That's the stuff here, it lasts for ages, these four grades get me an unbelievably smooth finish on bare wood.

I got introduced to it because a mate uses it who got it from his work as an aeronautical engineer, and they use it for polishing the cockpits

Ha ha, that's exactly what I do for a living mate! We use it on internal metal components of engines and things. Ideal for removing microscopic burrs from steel.
