  • Mark Selby's cue

Does anybody know anything about the cue Mark Selby used to win the 2006 world 8 ball champs?

I'm pretty sure it's a Coutts cue, but does anybody know the specs ?

    Many thanks !

Well his current one (if still correct) is a Stamford but I don't know when he got it, and it is around 58" long.
    Up the TSF! :snooker:

I sent an email to the address I found on his official website.
I got a rather swift response from a Tim Cunnell? Not sure who he is maybe a PA or something.
        Here's the response=

        Hi Matthew

        Thanks for your email.

Although Mark plays very little pool these days, he has been known to make appearances occasionally for friends' league teams in Leicester and also in Ipswich, where Vikki's family live.

As you may know, Mark also has a pool table at home (he doesn't have a snooker table as he prefers going to a club to practice) and he often has some fairly competitive matches against Vikki! Vikki and Mark actually have one 8-ball cue which they share, and like Mark's snooker cue, the pool cue is another Stamford cue. The specs are 8.3mm tip, and a little under 17 ounces. It is an ash cue with plain ebony butt.

I hope this is what you wanted to know, and thanks again for getting in touch!

        Tim

          Thanks for the replies.

Guess he would play awesome with any cue... Always interesting to know though.

I wonder how much this varies from his snooker cue (excluding tip size).
