  • Cost to cut a one piece cue?

Looking for an idea of the cost to cut a one piece cue above the splices and fit a joint.

Dave at Craftsman does it at a good price, mind cost of post both ways.

Andy Travis posted a few weeks back that he will fit a hidden joint for £30 obviously with postage on top. Looked really smart, better than a visible brass joint.

Thanks guys thats not to bad. (cant open my inbox for some reason old school not sure if its a problem with the site)

Dont want a big chunky joint - the thinner the better really. Only problem I forsee with the hidden joint is that if due to wear in the future will the shaft grain still line up???? would be more noticable on a shaft without a joint even if only a fraction of a mm out would it not? Seen plenty of cues that were jointed near the tips of the splices which then moved a fraction over time and they looked dreadful.

Quite like the idea tho. Did anyone have one fitted when Andy made the offer? do remember it now youve jogged my memory.

Glovers uses a 5/16 " joint pin , very slim.
