Is it true that there is one cue out there that suits you? I here this said on some forums. You may be able to play with several cues, but with one you will see a huge improvement in your game and know straight away that this cue is for you. Or rather, can you get used to ANY cue? It sounds like saying there is only girl out there, destined for you, lol.
I have a new cue and whilst I play some difficult shots more consistently (even played a 5 ball plant on the long cushion), I struggle to get as many balls in as before. This is because the cue's butt is a bit thinner than on my old cue (I've noticed that all new cues seem to have a thin butt section), and this has meant I need to recalibrate my grip and I struggle with the placement of my grip. Often I move up and down on the butt section of the cue before taking my shot so I struggle to settle in.
With sanding paper, how exactly do I use it on the cue tip to maintain the tip? Also, I want to put more of a dome on the tip and make it even smaller. Can any cue makers on here advise me on how to use a tip scuffer/shaper? Currently, the guy who sold me the cue just pit chalk on the tip and that was it. I'm new to maintaining tips and not brilliant with my hands lol.
This is the cue I have: http://uksnookerpool.com/product_inf...roducts_id=103 Is this a decent cue? I brought it because it came with all I need and when I played with it, it had a nice feel. However, it does need some polish as the shaft has become rough in just a few hours of use.
