Ebay john parris champion cue

Hi, i'm looking for a cue for pool and noticed this jp champion cue...but, the kingwood splice looks wrong colour and there is no maple veneer. does anyone think this cue is genuine or not ? any help would be appreciated as i have searched high and low for a decent 1/2 split quality pool cue

as you say the front splices looks more rosewood than kingwood and no maple veneer.
The badge looks ok from the photo but appears to be closer to the end of the butt than usual but the butt could have been shortened as the cue is short (55").
sayign that, the cue itself could be a good player...
