Cue tip. which one??

As a pool player (American Pool) I only play with morri ss, a rather expensive cue tip when compared to Elk or diamond. But snooker players (even the best) playing happily with Elk or diamond, how come? these cue tip more suitable for snooker?

I do not mean that everything that is expensive is better in some way. But I just wonder why so many snooker players use this cue tip.

Which cue tip do you use? And please give a little explanation as to why.

Should add that I bought me 3 pieces Elk soft just in case :-)

Elks and Blue Diamonds go back years and i suppose they are the ' Norm ' . Moori is a fairly new tip and i believe that they are marketed mainly for Pool .

But as always , it comes down to........personal preference .


I use Elks but will try a Laminated tip again shortly , just too see how they have improved since i last used them a few years ago .
