is this H&O Fake?

I just saw this cue and is wondering the chance of it being the real thing (slim I know). can someone tell me more? Thanks a lot!

I did not have the chance to take a photo of the joint, but it was a very old fashion heavy brass looking one.

the plate looks "ok" from the poor photo angle, the butt shape looks "ok"

Thx, Dean. The cue ia made of maple amd ash as most of the other h&o:-P

the cue in the photo is maple shaft with ebony butt splices (could be rosewood-photo colour is off), with a front splice of tulipwood(?) on top of a blue veneer (which is blue-dyed maple or spruce(?))
I don't think I have ever seen a maple AND ash cue
I would say most H&O cues (as well was most UK cue makes) are Ash shafts.

4 H&O cues were up on ebay a few months ago (job lot £400) I'm pretty sure they had ash shafts, and the seller listed them as new! I asked him for a picture of the joints, so he sent me a close up pic of the joint screwed together lol

can't see very well but splices look a little long.

there are examples of long splicing in their catalogues but yes very difficult to see from the photos
