            Would it make any difference if it's sent to a professional to permanently glue it back to a 1 piece. It's a invisible joint afterall.

                      Yes, it would make things slightly worse.

                      Who did the joint? I didn't think anyone was still using the old whitworths.

                            It may put quite a few people off but it may make a couple of buyers very keen. In the past I have sold a couple of similar high quality cues that have been centre jointed to buyers in Australia.

                              wood to wood works well with maple but not with ash.if you try to glue it shut the glue acts as a lubricant and it will overtighten
