I had a machined Hunt & O'Byrne (Aeon) cue with this joint. The problem with the male joint is it is a pin, usually not fully threaded and is awkward to tap in. As a result, over time, it turns. Looking at the pics of this one, either the joint was fitted slightly off, or it is already turning.

That joint needs to go. Also, unless they are through the ebony, "invisible" joints should be marketed as "invisible from a distance" with a greater distance being required with ash.

      Good luck
There's nothing wrong with centre jointed, moves the weight forward. There's nothing wrong with the cue. The issue is the joint itself.

Agreed JB but people do associate a centre joint with lower grade cues as it features largely in that part of the market.

Fair shout but this is a nice cue.

You'd definitely have got a bit more if the guy would've caught it clean with the first swipe of his axe!

Any idea how much to replace invisible joint with a decent one?

Wooldridge might do an F1 joint for around £95 other cue makers basic brass joints probably cheaper, it was only £30 for invisible joint from Tony Glover. I don't think there is anything wrong with the invisible joint anyway, retains better feel through the cue, thats why i chose it.
