They opened mine as well, hopefully getting it tomorrow. Probably be slapped with a custom charge even though it was only £56.

My charge was £23, £9-odd on VAT and the rest was a clearance fee that goes to parcelforce, bit of a scam if you ask me, although what Grand cues do is a bit of a scam as well. They better have packed it up properly after they opened it though.

It's a £69 cue package, nearer a ton now, I hope this thing knocks in a few tons for me. I'm sure that's how it works.

I notice at the bottom of your cue advert they say they will declare it as a gift and low value to avoid customs etc, but i guess customs are aware of this and randomly stop a few to get some pennies in ?

I bought one last night out of interest more than anything, I'll let you know what I think of it when it arrives. Just hope it gets through without charges now.

So I've knocked a few balls around with it now, I like it, there's some marks on the butt so I think it's painted black, or dyed, the ferrule's nice and flush, brass joint not quite. Case keeps everything secure, extension is flimsy and plastic and I'm not too keen on the tip. The finish is a bit squeaky on my bridge hand, think I'll give it a little sand, pics all too big to upload.

There's a little white mark and a little red mark on it, looks to me like they're under the black colour of the butt, I think it say's somewhere that they use Grey Ebony anyway so it must be coloured somehow.

Generally it will state in the advert if it's grey ebony, I bought one that said it was black ebony, which I didn't believe it would be so like Cally I just bought it out of interest, when it arrived I scratched the butt and it was black underneath, it was very sticky on the shaft so I sanded it all back and the butt is black ebony .

Just received mine, 1 piece maple with black butt. As others have said stick another badge on and you wouldn't know the difference. Just need to retip it and give it a test run. ☺

No customs charges oddly enough, it came in a bag in a transparent tube wrapped topp to bottom in tape, customs probably looked at how it was wrapped and said bugger opening that.

As for pics its the middle cue of these three.
