  • Do waiting times differ when selecting different woods!

    Hi,
When ordering a cue does waiting times differ in anyway whether you go for Maple or Ash?

I see the waiting times vary between the cue maker themselves, not sure if this is just for Ash.

I would say that it takes longer to find that "special" ash shaft than a maple

being that the ash has more variables, number of chevrons, plain back, chevrons facing the butt instead of the ferrule, distance between chevrons, etc, etc, etc
    Up the TSF! :snooker:

I dont think changing the wood is a good idea, first you may not like maple f you play with ash mostly; and I dont think it will save you a lot of time as your list of cuemakes (what a lit by the way) are always very busy.
a bad player who love cues

IMO Mike's cues are second to none I've had both Maple and Ash from him and cant fault the workmanship. Drop Mike an email he normally replies pretty quickly If you've never had a cue from give him a try :-)
