Why do you say that ??? they often go for much more and this looks a nice one

How are new cues overpriced, if anything the mark up on the older cues is considerably higher taking into acount labour costs and all other production costs at the time! I'm sure the top end cues back in the 50's and 60's cost the equivalent of a months wages, and now they must be half that, and the actual mark up is minimal for the actual cue maker!
No one is listening until you make a mistake!

Badge doesn't look too clever and quite simply, they shouldn't got for more than that. Certainly not sight unseen. Of any cue ever made, there is a higher percentage if bad ones than any cue I have ever seen.

I am not aware of cues being a months wages in the 60s, I'll have to take your word for that.

However, as for "mark up" are you having an actual laugh?

I know some have sold well over the years and there are a lot of starting collectors who feel one is a necessity for a collection, which I suppose it is, but my feelings are they are generally over priced and poor.

I mean bad as in playing and often in looks, I believe it was the longest running mass produced, albeit handmade, cue ever, as such there are an awful lot of bad ones. I think a top shaft at B&W would be more liky to become a Eureka or a Mascot. Which, rightly, often achieve greater prices.

Ps. If you run across a nice Mascot, let me know.

not sure i agree - materials alone in a new cue are often over £100.

Thing is im not that great at snooker fair at pool! But its fun looking for cues whether to admire or try to buy!lol

it is very well made and finished, but the English ash is not stiff enough for my liking. I am sure someone will love it tough, just not for me.
