I reckon my ideal specs are 57", 16oz, 9mm 28.8butt. I've got a lathe and can do most jobs when I've time so those specs or bigger are fine. Maple would be nice but not essential. All it's got to do is hit good.

well I have my old maple 2pc that is smaller tip but is longer. I shall check the size down the shaft if you wish

it is 8.2 ferrule but not sure of length so could be reduced length for bigger ferrule but will check when get home
